This story happened in front of me on Sunday, but it could have happened 50 years ago.
There’s a passion for the automotive that runs deep, it’s something that often forms when we’re young, and will follow us throughout our lives.
This passions connects young and old, parents and children, strangers across the globe, and there’s no better display of this when a legendary supercar is around.
The Lamborghini Miura is often credited as the original supercar, kicking off almost 60 years of fascination for the super fast, super sleek, and super rare. It adorned posters on bedroom walls across the globe, but few were fortunate to see one in the metal. To do so was an occasion, it was something you told everyone about, and even in an age of smart phones and the internet, the Miura still has this effect.
The memory of seeing his first Miura in the metal will stick with the young man of our story, and will go on to shape his passion for years to come. It wasn’t just a supercar, it was the supercar.
