Things have been busy!
As such I have somewhat neglected to keep the blog up to date, for which I apologise. So here's an update as to what's been going on since September.
Events
Show season has been thoroughly underway, and Takona has been getting about! From a stand at the British Motorshow, to meeting Gas Monkeys own Richard Rawlings at Knebworth house, we've been to as many places as we could. The response to the brand and what it stands for has been astonishing, so many people have come up to us and shared inspirational stories of how their cars and the car community has helped them keep going. This is what Takona stands for and what we hope will continue to grow and make mental health conversation commonplace.
Clothing
We've brought the ascending print back to hoodies, beanie hats are here in time for both the colder weather and Christmas, and the Key tags (not technically clothing) are now available in a myriad of colours including my personal favourite rainbow!
Along the spirit of the clothing it's also been a huge pleasure to announce the first of what will hopefully be many, Takona Ambassadors, a very talented young racer who will definitely be a star of the the future, you can find the full details of Kyan here.
Cars and Coffee
We've hosted a few Coffees and Cars since the last update and the turnout to each has been mind blowing, from our first expectations of a handful of cars to filling the hughstreet and the car park, it's inspiring to see how much the community has grown. We've also greeted two new partners to the community!
Fuel coffee house, long time friends of Takona are starting a quarterly Coffees and Cars beginning in January on the 8th, for any South coast friends, there's the place to go! Find more info here.
The Studio in Waterlooville near Portsmouth invited us down in November for a cars, coffees, and cameras. Utilising their lit studio space to showcase the Koenigsegg Regera and Lamborghini Countach of Zachs Garage. This event was part of the run up to their supercar Santa, and we hope to reunite in the new year to add them to the roster of locations officially.
Podcast
The podcast has had two new guests, Liam Freeman from The Back Roads sat down with me to talk about his 944 and the awesome stuff he's doing with TBR after cars and coffee. Project 944 has been an ongoing project for Liam for quite some time and it was a great achievement to have it come down to cars and coffee after it's been off the road for so long.
