The New Years Meet

at Brooklands is renowned for being one of the busiest and most varied classic car meets on the calendar, one we've not had the chance to attend before. This year we made the trip down to experience it for ourselves. 

Brooklands as a location is a special place to any self proclaimed car enthusiast, being the world's first purpose-built 'banked' motor racing circuit it holds a certain amount magic. The echoes of the heroes that dared to brave its 30 foot banking with little more than leather caps and goggles as they peddled open wheel racers at speeds that would terrify most. 

Amidst this historic backdrop, on New Years you'll find a multitude of cars. From the pre war icons through to the modern supers, theres a mix that showcases the true breadth of the automotive enthusiast world. Not only does this event showcase the best of the automotive world, it also allows access to the museums that Brooklands, a particular treat being the Concorde that sits within the middle of the site, a truly special spectacle to see.
